Milochie was founded on people-centered values and sustainable business and manufacturing practices, but what about the community nearest (and dearest) to us in Bath? For the first time, we’re teaming up with a local charity partner to bring this GOOD into our community through our partnership with VOICES. This Summer, we’ll be hosting a yoga class and offering a limited time Buy 1, Give 1 offer on our Organic Cotton t-shirts.
Who is VOICES?
VOICES is a survivor-led charity in Bath that takes a holistic approach to recovery from domestic abuse. They provide a safe and welcoming space for domestic abuse survivors to discuss their needs and find support to recover. The program include domestic abuse awareness and recovery, a social and creative group, as well as 1:1 support. VOICES provides help with housing, legal and financial challenges, and works with charity partners to provide respite breaks, skills and job training, sports activities, dance and reflexology. Women attending groups have said they feel stronger, less isolated and more positive about their future as a result of the work done at VOICES.
Why Bring Yoga to VOICES?
The benefits of yoga to everyone are great. For survivors of domestic abuse, yoga can help regain fitness and mental well-being, acquire habits of relaxation and gentle exercise, regardless of fitness levels and body confidence. This can provide everyday advantages for people suffering from anxiety, trauma, sleep problems and stress-related health problems like fibromyalgia.

We believe that yoga has the strength to help us reconnect to ourselves and our worthiness and that in the right space, reflecting and honouring our past experiences can help us grow. We have the power to heal ourselves.
By offering a yoga workshop we are providing survivors with a safe environment to focus on their body and growing their inner strength. Our team of highly qualified yoga teachers will help survivors gain more confidence and well-being and offering a sheltered space.
